Alan Rich, Review Moondog 2 (?)

... His music is very simple. He creates long, spontaneous-sounding melodic lines, and works them out in subtle but simple ways.

Some of his tunes have a strong resemblance to some of the songs Donovan sings: childlike, full of reverence for words and for the voice, somehow extremely disarming.

He works them out for the most part as rounds or canons, which I would guess has to do with his basic love of interacting. His poetry, mostly couplets, is also about interaction, and is extraordinary lovely.
